In 2004 Tehree Gordon was awarded the honorable title of "Senior Australian of the Year".

The award was in recognition of her work with Native Animals and also with People with Disabilities.

The Medal acknowledges those who have contributed to the success of Australia's first hundred years as a Federal Nation. It also recognises the Many Australians who have laid solid foundations for the Nations future.

In 2003 Tehree won the Centenary Medal for the work she has been doing with animals and disadvantaged people for over the last 30 years.

In 2003 Tehree was awarded the"Tattersalls Achievement of the Year award."
for Enterprise and Achievement.

Later still Tehree was honoured with"A Life Time Achievement Award"
in the Victorian Coastal Awards for Excellence 2004 for her work with Coastal marine animals
